/files/samples/ This directory contains a few archives of audio samples that I thought might make interesting source materials for other composers. I am releasing all of the files in this directory (only) into the public domain. This means that I created them but they are not copyrighted and can be used by anyone for any purpose without my permission and without paying any royalty. If you do use them for something interesting, I would be happy to hear from you. The first and main collection is a set of speech consonants (performed by yours truly ;). I have not finished this little project yet -- not all of the common English consonants are included -- but I think it makes an interesting collection of "percussion" sounds anyways. This archive is at http://www.anthonykozar.net/files/samples/phonemes.zip and a demo "drum loop" using these sounds is at http://www.anthonykozar.net/files/samples/phonemes-demo.aiff I have posted two other small archives. The first contains two samples of vocal noises in original and "stretched" forms. The stretched versions were processed with the granular synthesis program MacPOD. Download here: http://www.anthonykozar.net/files/samples/misc-vocal-stretches.zip The last archive contains just one sample of some windchimes: http://www.anthonykozar.net/files/samples/mychimes3.zip The contents of each ZIP archive are available uncompressed for previewing at http://www.anthonykozar.net/files/samples/ Enjoy!
