Csound5.10-float-PPC-OSX10.5.tar.gz Sources Read Me --------------------------------------------------- The Csound 5.10 distribution package available at http://www.anthonykozar.net/files/Csound-OSX/Csound5.10-float-PPC-OSX10.5.tar.gz on my website contains only the binary executables and data files needed to run Csound. Because Csound is free software licensed under the terms of the GNU Lesser General Public License, you are also entitled to download copies of the complete source code to this software at the time that you obtain the binaries from me. The source code is available from this site in a variety of files to allow you to download only those files you want and to make the most efficient use of space. To rebuild everything in the above binary distribution from scratch you will need the following source archives for Csound and its many dependencies along with the tools needed to build it. In this directory: Csound5.08.2-tagged-sources.tgz Csound5.10.1-tagged-sources.tgz In the "thirdpartysources" directory: boost_1_36_0.tar.bz2 fftw-3.1.3.tar.gz fltk-1.1.9-source.tar.gz fluidsynth-1.0.8.tar.gz gettext-0.17.tar.gz gmm-3.1.tar.gz liblo-0.25.tar.gz libpng-1.2.32.tar.bz2 libsndfile-1.0.18.tar.gz loris-1.3.0.tar.gz lua-5.1.4.tar.gz portaudio_stable_v19_20071207.tar.gz portmidi-src-82.zip scons-1.1.0.tar.gz stk-4.3.1.tar.gz swig-1.3.36.tar.gz The original source archives for all of these things are available from this URL on my website: http://www.anthonykozar.net/files/Csound-OSX/ The source code files for Csound were checked out of Csound CVS on Sourceforge by me using the corresponding tagged releases. My own 'custom.py' and 'build' scripts may be included. The source code files for the dependencies are identical to those released on their respective web sites. I did not need to modify the build scripts for any of the dependencies. Hopefully this is enough information for you to rebuild all of the binaries if you so desire. Newer versions of the dependencies can likely be used except for Loris (AFAIK). Anthony Kozar akozar@users.sourceforge.net http://anthonykozar.net February 26, 2009
